Video Producer

Easy German started out as a hobby 15 years ago, but has since grown into one of the most successful language learning projects in the world. As we’re developing new ideas and projects, we’re looking for a highly skilled video producer to help us create even better content for our global community of language learners.

In this full-time role based in Berlin, you will be responsible for the creation of new videos from start to finish. You should have a keen eye for image composition, know how to operate a DSLR and be familiar with professional video editing tools. As part of a small and dedicated team, you will also work on a wide variety of other tasks.

On any given day you might:

  • Operate the camera during a video shoot

  • Edit video footage using Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects

  • Find the best music for a specific video

  • Edit audio footage and support the post-production of our podcast

  • Create video thumbnails and other graphics using Adobe Photoshop

  • Participate in our editorial calls and propose new video ideas

  • Coordinate and plan shoots, production travels and interviews

  • Support other producers within the Easy Languages network with production-related questions and tasks

We’re looking for someone who is/has:

  • Based in Berlin (or willing to move to Berlin if currently based elsewhere)

  • Legally authorized to work in Germany and able to travel to Berlin during the selection process

  • Highly skilled in camera work and video editing

  • Enthusiastic about our mission

  • Flexible, empathic, creative and reliable

  • A high attention to detail

  • Skilled at giving and receiving feedback

  • Able to work independently and learn on the fly

  • Fluent in English and at least conversational in German (B2 level)

What we have to offer:

  • A full-time position (30 – 40 hours per week) in Berlin

  • A competitive salary and 30 vacation days per year

  • Becoming part of a highly motivated, international team

  • A challenging, fun and rewarding work experience: support people across the globe through the struggle of learning a foreign language

  • Flexibility: choose between working from home or out of our office in Berlin-Pankow

  • Freedom: you’ll mostly be able to set your own work hours

  • We’ll provide the computer you’ll need to do your work

Inclusion & Diversity

We value the diversity of people, their experiences and perspectives and pursue equal opportunities in our personnel policy. We look forward to a wide variety of applicants and encourage applications regardless of origin, gender or gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability or age.
