HR Generalist at Dow Jones (1049 views)

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist for our Frankfurt office. This position is a 12-months maternity cover with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the full range of HR services for the DACH region (Germany, Switzerland, Austria) and Eastern Europe (mainly Bulgaria)
• Support managers and staff in all HR-related matters including but not limited to employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation/benefits, talent management, local initiatives and global projects
• Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations for all HR activities and documentation
• Handle all co-determination issues with the local works council and work cohesively with other relevant parties such as legal professionals as and when required
• Work closely with the global and EMEA HR team regarding global HR processes and initiatives including any on-going communication and liaison work with appointed external service providers
• Ensure up-to-date HR data of employees for internal HR systems (Peoplesoft/Workday)
• Responsible for full recruitment for open positions in allocated region
• Handling of all administrative aspects of HR processes e.g. producing documents such as contracts, reference letters etc. as well as up-to-date maintenance of proper filing/record system.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required:

• Academic degree (Bachelor or Master)
• Experience in a similar HR capacity for at least 3 years
• Experience of working with the Works Council essential
• Experience of working with global organizations
• Strong HR generalist knowledge including good knowledge of labour law.  Knowledge for at least 2 of the countries in allocated region would be advantageous
• Fluent in German and English
• Ability to communicate effectively in an international matrix organization
• Resilience, strong team spirit and absolute integrity
• Experience with HR systems such as PeopleSoft, Workday and iCims preferred
