Connected Retail is a Software as a service (SaaS) business focusing on connecting brick and mortar stores to the platform. As Data Analyst in Connected Retail you will contribute to further development and growth of our business of connecting offline partners to Zalando platform. Guide business decisions for senior management and stakeholders by preparing and presenting meticulous data analysis that involves large volumes of data and spans multiple domains of our business
WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
Conduct highly reproducible exploratory or inferential analysis from markedly disparate sources to guide business decision making for the different stakeholders at Zalando – Connected Retail unit, the management, other Zalando units
Work with large, complex data sets on various domains, i.e. sales, account management, assortment, finance, product itself and recommend optimization actions/projects based on operational and commercial KPIs
Contribute to automation of data collection, transformation and serving processes for the dashboards and periodic reports which are provided and cooperate with the product, tech and business intelligence teams to ensure highest data transparency and ease of use
Support the team on projects, i.e. conduct deep dives into various data and deliver analysis in tight deadlines to bring our expertise to the next level
Produce and communicate reports on a weekly basis, process requests from stakeholders and provide transparency, timely communication and call for action on the operational/commercial KPIs, ensuring target achievement and top performance of the unit
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Analytics: A minimum 2 to 3 years of work experience in the function of analytics, controlling or business intelligence. Great analytical skills to deliver a strong data-driven performance as well as knowledge in business processes and KPIs. A degree (Bachelor, Master, MBA) in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or its equivalent.
Tools: strong SQL knowledge (experience with Presto and Spark SQL is a plus). Experience with Python (Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib) or R (Tidyverse) as well as in building rudimentary data pipelines with Airflow is highly desirable. Familiar with AWS and Google Cloud.
Industry: Interested in merchant and vendor management, especially in business/services/products related topics. Good market overview and drive for excellence.
Communication: You have excellent communication skills in English and are able to drive projects autonomously, keeping tight deadlines and managing multiple stakeholders. German is a plus.
