The Acquisitions team drives the acquisition of new advertising clients for Google. Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes Google’s new business growth. As a Business Acquisition Manager you provide the highest level of consultation to our advertisers within a specific industry such as Retail, Technology, Finance, Travel, Local, Entertainment and Media. Working with these clients, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

With marketing Google’s AdWords, the leading text-based advertising platform in Europe as well as Google Display solutions to medium-to-large size companies you are contributing significantly to increase Google’s book of business of prospective large advertising clients. You will work closely with a dedicated account management team who execute a well thought-out campaign. You will identify potential large advertisers to promote our ad products. You are product- and industry-savvy, and your drive propels you toward new acquisitions. You will gain invaluable experience in this high impact role working in a dynamic international environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect new potential advertisers via various strategic initiatives such as cross departmental collaboration with marketing, networking, trade-shows and online research.
  • Secure new SMB (small-to-medium sized business) AdWords clients by presenting search marketing solutions, and create relevant ad campaigns.
  • Work within a team that supports a particular sector and educate customers on the opportunities within them.
  • Develop pitch strategies that optimize the market potential.
  • Provide the ultimate in client service by giving potential new customers the attention they need and deserve.

Minimum qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to speak and write in English and German fluently and idiomatically.

Preferred qualifications

  • Proven technical ability with customer-relationship management programs (CRM).
  • Strong communication and persuading skills and the ability to pitch comprehensive advertising solutions over the telephone and face-to-face to prospects.
