Account Manager for DACH Region (390 views)

Job Summary – Qualifies leads and solicits orders for memberships, education products or services over the telephone. Actively gathers new leads and grows contact database. Attends and participates at industry events representing InfoComm. Is responsible for all activity within Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and geographical territories may be assigned.

  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from InfoComm International, business directories, industry trade publications, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
  • Develop campaigns targeted to selected audiences to sell InfoComm products and services.
  • Work with new and existing customers to maximize their use of InfoComm products and services
  • Contacts customers and prospects via the phone to solicit orders.
  • Tracks results of sales activity for each opportunity in CRM.
  • Prepares proposals and presents proposals and processes sales orders.
  • Prepares and submits scheduled reports of business transactions, time reports and expense reports in a timely fashion.
  • Creates and submits additional reports as may be requested from time to time.
  • Presents InfoComm-developed presentations at industry events, promotes InfoComm to attendees.
  • Follows up with customers to assure satisfaction, respond to queries, solicit further sales, and solve or refer problems. Develops lists of prospects from trade and professional association membership lists, and other records.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must have two years’ experience. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Fluent in English and German.

Computer Skills
Ability to operate Microsoft Windows computer system with competencies in Microsoft Office applications including Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Familiarity with utilizing customer database software such as Salesforce or Microsoft CRM a plus. Ability to quickly learn other new computer applications as required.
