As a part of the Marketing team you will be the responsible marketing country manager for South Africa and you will manage the success of our platforms, Locanto and Yalwa, in South Africa, which is one of the most important and successful markets for us. You will work closely with both the Product and Development teams for the execution and prioritization of projects. You will also bring a market-focused perspective to the product team as they build new ad products.
Your Profile
- Drive key short- and long-term growth initiatives with product and development teams for the platforms, Locanto and Yalwa, in South Africa
- Drive the strategic planning process for short term (annual) as well as long-term Advertising business
- Acquire new content and negotiate partner deals
- Manage promotions to attract new users
Your tasks
- Degree in Business/Marketing or a related subject
- 2 years of work experience in online services / digital media / online advertising space
- English and Afrikaans native speaker
- Strong understanding of the online advertising business and the key associated trends in South Africa
- Understanding of Product Management and Product Development processes
- Outstanding communication skills
- Proactive work ethic, Structured thinking and overall approach
- Quick perception, a structured work approach, and high degree of self motivation
