Head of Graphic Design (m/f)

Your responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a graphic design team of 10 designers working on more than one game
• Develop our three most experienced Graphic Design Game Leads and work closely together with them
• Lead by example, work in the game projects and coach all graphic designers at all levels
• Overview more than one game at the time and multitask
• Lead the exploration process on the graphic design/UI  for new mobile titles
• Actively take part in the game development process to ensure we create a clear artistic vision for each game 
• Watch that graphic design and art assets work smoothly together and follow the created style guide on each game
• Develop new ideas and concepts in cooperation with the design or production teams
• Lead the out sourcing process to external partners on graphic design side
• Take charge of all Graphic Design-related aspects of the Mobile Art Department while reporting to the Head of Game Art
• Being up to date with the latest trends in mobile UI/UX design
• Selling/pitching ideas to management and/or external developers
• Be an active part to create a good working atmosphere within the Mobile Art Department
• Make sure the communication and information between Art, Creative and Graphic Design always flows

Your qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years working experience in games, preferably in the mobile section
• Degree in Graphic Design or related field
• Several years of professional experience as team leader
• Shipped several game titles at least one title in a leading position
• Artistic vision and great technical skills with an eye for detail 
• Willingness to contribute beyond the assigned tasks, actively seek responsibility with a “can do” attitude
• Good communication and organizational skills, preferably experience of working in an agile project environment and in a big team
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English
• Demonstrated skills and experience in common 2D-graphic software (among others Photoshop, Flash and Illustrator)
• Strong focus on UI/UX
• Abilities for composition, color and typography
• Strong graphic and artistic creativity
• HTML and CSS skills and flash would be an advantage
• Be tech-savvy
• good sense for understanding different audience profiles
• Flexibility in changing game styles/categories (casual, fantasy, sports,etc.)
