SPT Worldwide are experts in voice based premium rate billing. Our technology allows us to connect end users in a huge amount of countries across the world directly to premium voice services of multiple genres.

We are a very small company mainly based in Berlin but operate internationally in a niche market. As we grow, we touch on many other business areas but never lose sight that we are a telecommunications company.

We are looking for a passionate FULL STACK WEB DEVELOPER (M/F) to join our Berlin office on a full-time basis. This is a newly created role to deliver solutions that serve our clients needs and help us grow.

Your responsibilities:

• Responsible for web development of our web applications as well as maintaining existing websites

• Creation of new designs and B2C and mobile websites in conjunction with marketing partners

• Build new features, services and web applications 

• Analyzing existing code,debugging and providing production support as well as writing new code, testing and trouble-shooting

• Support and maintenance of our bespoke applications eg: call centre and customer management applications and databases

• Server and client side development as well as management of internal tools (website , CLIs)

• Developing code for the targeted environment as well as participating in architectural discussions that are relevant to their domain of expertise or responsibility

• Part of this role can be client facing & the candidate will have regular interactions with some client

Your Requirements:

• 1-3 years work experience in the area of front end/back end web development

• Experience in PHP development or working knowledge of any framework (php)

• Ability to handwrite codes of anyone programming language and Git repository

• Proven record of server and client side development – Networking knowledge advantageous

• Strong experience with a relational database (preferably MySQL)

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript

• Basic knowledge of any server side scripting language e.g. PHP (or any non-proprietary language -non-microsoft)

• Fluent in English, German is not a must

• Quick learner with great attention to detail who is able work with minimal supervision

• Excellent problem-solving , analytical and team working skills required

• Hands-on mentality essential as we are a very yet profitable company and have other IT related task that we need help with. We would rely on you to help us out with them as needed. Please note that this would only be a small part of the role and not take up more than 10 % of the workload.
