Investment Analyst for the MENA region (m/f) (285 views)

Key responsibilities:
Support on- and off-site due diligence processes for debt investments in financial institutions (banks, leasing companies, microfinance institutions, etc.), including the organization of due diligences and writing of investment proposals
Monitor of existing debt investments, based on financial reports and client visits
Monitor/analyze key economic and financial sector trends, including regulatory and supervisory policies
Support the internal and external reporting regarding investments, fund performance and countries of operations
Assist in identifying technical assistance needs of financial institutions or market participants in the area of Micro/SME as well as energy efficiency/renewable energy finance
Promote responsible finance through dialogue with respective stakeholders, investment structuring, workshops and initiatives

What we expect:
University degree preferably in economics, finance or business
Relevant professional experience (< 2 years) in banking or finance
Demonstrated skills in analyzing financial institutions
Good market knowledge of the financial sector as well as the political and cultural context of MENA countries
Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic, as well as intermediate German. Fluency in French is considered an asset.
Strong team player, open and engaging communication style and strong inter-personal skills
Frequent travel to MENA countries of operations
