You want to be a part of an exciting travel startup in Berlin? You’ll develop intuitive user interfaces and solid backend functionality for our website users, for travel experts all over the world and for ourselves. You will be learning and working with a small and highly motivated team of professionals in a dynamic startup environment. You bring good PHP knowledge, experience in frontend development and most important, a constant drive for learning and improving. You don’t have to speak German, only English is required. We are looking for a candidate with a high potential to get a fixed employment after the internship.
What will you be doing?
- Implementing web frontends for our website users and our internal travel agent system using HTML5, CSS and jQuery
- Adding features and responsive behaviour to the current website & systems
- Developing and testing for multiple platforms, browsers and devices (including mobile devices)
- Define requirement details, provide estimations and communicate results
- Continuously improve technical knowledge and interaction with all other team members
- Also possible if you are interested and have experience:
- Working on our AngularJS application (tourbuildr.com)
- Analyzing & visualizing data for the team to take better decisions
What should you have?
- Fun and motivation at work and at learning new things in an international team
- Clean coding style
- Good experience with PHP, jQuery, HTML & CSS and developing responsive websites
- Experience in Frontend Frameworks (e.g. twitter bootstrap) is a plus
- Knowledge of modern PHP frameworks, such as Symfony and Laravel is a plus
- Experience with version control such as git
- Fluent English (office language is English)
- Solution focused (positive) attitude and ability to work independently
- Openness to change
- Enthusiasm for travel is a plus 🙂
